Paramedical Science is a rapidly evolving profession, which combines aspects of pre-hospital emergency care and primary health care. The major areas of work in the field of paramedical sciences are spinal injury management, fracture management, obstetrics, management of burns and assessment, and evaluation of general accident scene. - Assist the doctor by testing body fluids of the patients
- Assessing patients, providing emergency treatment and making diagnoses
- Monitoring and administering medication, pain relief and intravenous infusions
- Evaluate samples of blood, urine, tissue culture, etc., for infections
- Operate different equipment’s and machines to obtain accurate data
- Calibrate and analyses reports of the patients
- Communicating effectively with patients
- Discuss the results drawn with the doctor to help the patient with right treatment
- Handle the large amount of diverse samples with precision and care
- Explain the procedure of testing to the staff members
- Supervise the maintenance of the laboratory with proper sanitation
- Perform duties in line with the ethical standards
- Teaching and training members of the public to use first aid techniques correctly
